Shanley Profile

Shanley Campbell, CFP®, ChFC

Shanley’s parents, Don and BJ, owned Rassler Financial Planning in the 80’s and 90’s. That’s where she learned financial planning was more than just giving investment advice to people.

After watching her parents work with the husband of a client who had passed away suddenly, she realized financial planning was not only about money, but also about helping, coaching and advocating — and decided it was the right career path for her.

Treating clients like family is at the core of what Rassler Financial is about, and Shanley has shaped the firm to reflect those values.

Shanley is known as being detail-oriented and getting results for her clients. She’s worked with hundreds of clients, who appreciate her honest assessments of what’s right for them.

Shanley has a casual, laid-back style, which resonates with younger and older adults alike. Shanley enjoys working with people as they plan for retirement, as well as “builder” clients to help them get on the right financial path. She says there’s no better feeling than having a client tell her they feel both emotionally and financially sound in their retirement because of her guidance.

Her track record of helping clients in different situations find financial security has helped her win many industry awards. She continues to earn accolades as a top producer year after year.

Shanley opened Rassler Financial in 2005 and enjoys working with the team. Shanley graduated from the University of North Carolina Asheville before working at Morgan Stanley prior to starting Rassler Financial. She has been a member of Mensa since 1984. She has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters and believes one of her greatest achievements has been her relationship with her first “little”.

Shanley currently resides in Center City Philadelphia with her husband, Patrick, and their two children, Deegan and Saylor. She is the treasurer for the Fitler Square Improvement Association.

On the weekend, you’ll most likely find her spending time reading with her children or taking the family dog (Iris) on a hike.

Shanley enjoys running in local races that support off the beaten path causes like desmoid tumor research. But here’s a tip: never challenge her to a foot race. She’s a former Division I runner and has won a number of local races (one while pushing her son in a stroller!).
